Car Battery Testing & Voltage

It’s important to test your battery and electrical system regularly, not just when it’s starting to show signs of weakness. Proactively testing it  twice a year will help reduce your chances of failure.

Your vehicle’s battery is an extremely important component. In order for an automotive battery to withstand the summer’s heat, it must remain in good condition. A simple battery check can prevent you from being stranded in an empty parking lot.

If your car won't start, a dead battery is the likely culprit. However, there are numerous components that can cause similar symptoms. A faulty starter motor will make a click when you turn the key that sounds similar to a dead battery. If the alternator fails, the battery won't recharge when the engine is on, leading to a no-start condition.
